On June 18 Roncesvalles Village will come alive with art and music. It’s the return of Roncy Rocks!
From noon until 8:00 p.m. local artists and musicians will cover the street. We are very pleased this year to have Juno Award nominees The Monkey Bunch on our main stage, among many many excellent local acts

Starbucks Stage (at Roncy and Dundas):
12pm: Anne Lederman
solo fiddle and voice from this national treasure.
1pm: The Horables
delightful accordion, mandolin and fiddle all-female trio.
2pm: Dottie Cormier
country bluegrass from this former Heartbreak Hill member.
3pm: Dede Higgins
folky singer/songwriter in the Joni Mitchell tradition.
4pm: Fraser Melvin Blues Band
Fraser and longtime cohort Alex Furlott fuse blues, jazz and soul.
5pm: The Ugly Bug Band
Quirky pop from this local institution.
6pm: The Quiet Revolution
Lo-fi power pop, country and folk from local veteran Scott Maynard.
7pm: The Unknown Bluesman
Michael Keith is one of Toronto’s most talented, creative and uncompromising guitarists.

A fusion of bluegrass, gospel and folk with no less than EIGHT voices blending in rich harmonies.

2pm: Classical Music Conservatory presents…
three teenage bands with burgeoning talent.
3pm: Scotty Mack Band - Sitting on the dock, a summer breeze brings notes of bourbon & BBQ.
4pm: Another Story Bookshop presents Writing Roncesvalles - a local author spotlight featuring Eva Stachniak, Bianca Lakoseljac, Kristen Den Hartog and Andrew Borkowski.
5pm: Sahra Featherstone
sublime solo harp from Roncy’s own folk goddess and ubiquitous side musician.
6pm: Chris Staig and The Marquee Players
Chris is a local institution with a Rock n’ Roll heart.
7pm: Shbti
Roncy’s own garage rockers.
Polish Credit Union Stage:
12pm: Fraser/Daley duo
Bluegrass, blues and country with Alec Fraser and Mike Daley.
1pm: Kevin Kane
Grapes Of Wrath frontman showcases his haunting solo material and some well-chosen covers.
2pm: The Michelle Rumball Beauty Saloon
Former Grievous Angels chanteuse wows with her spellbinding vocals.
3pm: Jason Fowler
One of Toronto’s finest guitarists and sideman to John McDermott, Loreena McKennit and dozens more.
4pm: The Monkey Bunch
Toronto’s favourite kids’ band never fail to satisfy their audiences, young AND old.
5pm: Virgil Shockley
The Virgil Shockley ran for Governor of Maryland. They lost by a landslide and now play rock & roll in Ontario.
6pm: Hamstrung String Band
Roncy’s favourite bluegrass quintet.
7pm: The Gord Zubrecki Band
Rootsy Americana from this local singer/songwriter and his band.
Galley Stage:
12pm: Rob Szabo
This tireless solitary touring troubadour is one of the city’s finest singer/songwriters.
1pm: Gray
Local chanteuse Brooke Harris delivers the goods with her guitar stylings and confessional lyrics.
2pm: Michael Johnston Music Studio
Skydigger Johnston performs solo and introduces some of his music students.
3pm: More from Michael and his students!
4pm: Mitch Girio
In-demand producer and legendary Toronto bassist performs his Elvis Costello-tinged solo tunes.
5pm: Beverly Taft
Jazz siren Taft performs with guitar accompaniment from the legendary Tony Quarrington.
6pm: Michael Holt
Transplanted Newyorker Holt takes a minute out from his Mommyheads reunion tour to wow Roncy’s ears.
7pm: Zim Zum
jazz fusion combo who build their sound around the saxophone stylings of local veteran Ian Lazarus.

hi Veronica,
ran into a friend who does the garden on Roncy at Queen, flower fairy Catherine,
and she mentioned Roncy Rocks. I’ve been myself a few years back and to many
street festivals in Parkdale and High Park. Live on Dowling and am a filmmaker,
photographer and singer songwriter. I guess your line up for the event is pretty much scheduled. If by chance, you have someone opt out. I do songs that have a travel motif and local flavours.
